Why buy used Gaylord boxes?
A new heavy-wall Gaylord box can cost $40 to $80 before freight. A used Grade A box performs the same job for a fraction of that, and Grade B boxes are more than adequate for internal storage, work-in-process staging, and scrap collection. Buying used also keeps thousands of pounds of corrugated in service instead of the recycling stream.
Every box we sell has been sorted by grade and wall count. Grade A boxes are used once, clean, dry, and square. Grade B boxes have minor scuffs or a label but are structurally sound. Grade C boxes are utility-grade for scrap and one-way use. You choose the grade that matches the job and only pay for what you need.
Sizes and styles in stock
The most common box is the standard 48" x 40" x 36" Gaylord, which sits squarely on a GMA pallet and holds up to 1,200 lbs. For heavier or loose material such as plastic regrind, castings, or scrap metal, octagon Gaylords resist bulging and stack more safely. Lidded bulk bins add dust protection and allow double stacking in transit, and half Gaylords or watermelon bins work well for produce and lighter product.
Not sure which box fits? Send us the material, weight per load, and whether the boxes will be stacked or shipped, and we will recommend the right wall count and style.
Delivery and minimums
Boxes ship folded flat on pallets, typically 20 to 30 per pallet depending on wall count. A 53-foot dry van carries roughly 600 to 900 boxes. We arrange LTL freight for pallet quantities and full truckloads for larger orders, and quote delivered pricing to your dock so there are no surprises.
Smaller local pickups are available in many metros. For ongoing needs, we set up a standing program with a set price and delivery schedule so your team never runs short.

Common questions
How much do used Gaylord boxes cost?
Typical delivered pricing runs from about $4 per box for utility grade to $45 for like-new heavy-wall octagons. Quantity, grade, wall count, and freight distance all affect the final price, so request a quote for your ZIP code.
What is the minimum order?
Pallet quantities of 20 to 30 boxes are the usual minimum for freight delivery. Some markets allow smaller local pickups.
How quickly can you deliver?
Stock orders in major metros usually ship within 1 to 3 business days. Full truckloads and custom sizes typically ship within 5 to 10 business days.
Do the boxes come with pallets?
Boxes ship flat on pallets. If you need each box on its own pallet or with a bottom cap, let us know and we will quote it that way.
Can I get new Gaylord boxes instead?
Yes. We source new boxes for customers who need consistent print, food-grade liners, or exact specifications. Ask for a new-box quote on the form.
