Recycling & pickup
Gaylord Box Recycling and Pickup Service
Keep corrugated out of your dumpster and off your waste bill. We pick up damaged Gaylord boxes, baled OCC, and loose cardboard on a schedule that fits your dock, and pay for material that still has value.
- One-time cleanouts or recurring weekly and monthly pickups
- Reusable boxes purchased, damaged boxes recycled as OCC
- Trailer placement for high-volume facilities
- Diversion and sustainability reporting on request
Reuse first, then recycle
A Gaylord box that still has square corners and intact flaps is worth far more in service than as fiber. That is why every pickup starts with a grade check: reusable boxes are purchased and put back into circulation, and only worn or damaged boxes go to the OCC stream. For most facilities that means a lower net cost than a plain recycling haul, and often a check instead of an invoice.
What we accept
We accept knocked-down Gaylord boxes of any grade, baled old corrugated containers (OCC), loose corrugated in Gaylords or on pallets, and clean kraft paper. Boxes with plastic liners, wax coating, or food contamination are handled case by case, so let us know up front. We do not accept wet or moldy material.
Service options
Facilities generating a few pallets a month typically use scheduled LTL pickups. Higher-volume plants get a 48- or 53-foot trailer placed at the dock, swapped on a set cadence or on call. One-time cleanouts, plant closures, and overflow situations are quoted per load. In every case you get a single contact, confirmed pickup windows, and weight tickets or counts for your records.
If you are working toward zero-waste or sustainability targets, we provide monthly diversion summaries showing boxes reused versus tons recycled.

Common questions
Is Gaylord box recycling free?
It depends on volume and condition. Loads with a meaningful share of reusable boxes are usually free or generate a payment. Small or all-scrap loads may carry a haul fee, which we quote up front.
How should we prepare boxes for pickup?
Knock them down flat, stack on pallets, and keep them dry. If you have a baler, bales of OCC are welcome alongside the boxes.
Can you pick up loose cardboard too?
Yes. Loose corrugated in Gaylord boxes or on pallets is accepted with a box pickup.
How often can you come?
Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or on call. Trailer placement is available for facilities producing several truckloads a month.
Do you provide documentation for our sustainability program?
We provide counts, weight tickets, and monthly diversion summaries on request.
